John is a researcher in the Teagasc Crop Science Research department based at Oak Park. His research interests include crop physiology, agronomy, storage as well as the environmental impact of crop production. His research work has encompassed cereal crops (wheat, barley), root crops (potato), fibre crops (hemp), energy crops (Miscanthus, willow) and grasses.
